Monarch Staffing Social Responsibility 2018 Takes Flight!

We are proud to kick off 2018 by launching our new Corporate Social Responsibilities Initiative!

First, we asked our employees about the non-profit organizations that hold special meaning for them. Then, at our 2018 Kick Off meeting, we randomly selected four non-profits to support this year through our staffing efforts. As we head into the New Year, we want to share our chosen organizations with you, our Employers & Employees, with the hope that you will join us.

January – March

Providence Animal Shelter – Media, PA

Providence offers medical care, treatment, placement, and life affirming rescue that demonstrates that crucial bond between humans and our animal companions. In 2017 alone, they adopted out over 4,000 cats and dogs to their “fur-ever” homes. Their unwavering dedication to their core values and endless efforts are something that is very much in line with Monarch’s own values, and we’re happy to offer our support!

For every new employee placed in the first quarter of 2018, Monarch will donate $1 to the Providence Animal Shelter. Our goal is to place 200 employees in the 1st quarter. If we hit our goal, Monarch Staffing is going to double the amount for a $400 donation. In addition to the donation, the Monarch Staffing team will be helping out on site for a service day!

April – June

Justice Rescue – Woodlyn, PA

Justice Animal Rescue is a fantastic organization that truly cares about animals and their well being. They have zero tolerance for animal cruelty, abuse, and neglect, and they are the only non-profit on the East Coast that actively patrols for animal abuse. Monarch is excited to help Justice Rescue so they can continue to fight animal cruelty in all forms.

Did you know that an animal whose adoption fee has already been paid for has a greater chance of being adopted? Our goal for the second quarter is to sponsor as many rescues up for adoption as we can by covering the adoption fees.

July – September

LaMancha Animal Rescue – Unionville, PA

LaMancha is inspired by the “Legend of the Starfish”. The story about a young child who walks the beaches, tossing stranded starfishes back into the water, saving them from certain death. When asked by an adult why he does this, knowing full well that it doesn’t make a difference for the starfishes stranded worldwide that can not be saved, the boy responds “it makes a difference to this one”. LaMancha is a safe haven for horses, dogs, cats, goats, and other animals that that need more space or specialized care that most SPCA’s can not offer.

Because the third quarter leads us right up to chilly temperatures, Monarch Staffing will be collecting used towels, blankets, & pillows to insure that the animals at LaMancha stay cozy and warm throughout the winter. Donations can be dropped off at any Monarch Staffing location at any time! The Monarch Staffing team will also be conducting a service day at LaMancha to help them out in any way we can.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Philadelphia, PA

The AFSP is a foundation that is held very close to our Chester County Branch Manager, Mary Ann Murtha’s heart. She is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the Marketing Coordinator and Co-Chair for the Philadelphia Chapter. The AFSP raises awareness, funds scientific research and provides resources and aid to those affected by suicide. They work to find better ways to prevent suicide as well as educating the public about mental health.

Mary Ann leads a team in honor of her son to raise funds for the AFSP. This year, the Monarch Staffing team will be joining her in her walk through Philadelphia on October 7, 2018. We welcome anyone who would like to walk with us. Simply let us know, and we will get you registered with us.
We will also be supporting the team by providing the t-shirts for Dom’s Wolf Pack, as well as donating $1 for each temp placed.
